Family

Skip and Judy Danielson have been married for 44 years. They are the proud parents of three sons and grandparents to five grandsons and two granddaughters.

Skip’s and Judy’s fathers were firefighters with the Dover Fire Department and enjoyed family celebrations together. That is why there are motion pictures of a little, red-headed two year old girl taking Skip’s presents at his first birthday party in 1943.  They married in 1964.

Judy (Dover HS ‘59 and SCCC ‘01) volunteered in the Byram Schools for several years before becoming a special ed aide. Layoffs sent her to the job market and she worked for Centenary  College for 12 years. She currently works for a property management firm. She loves being a grandmother and is a very skillful seamstress. She makes many dance costumes for her granddaughter. Judy can be found working out at the West Morris YMCA five mornings a week before she goes to work.

Their oldest son, E. Scott, (LVR ‘84) is a lieutenant in the Warren County 9-1-1 Center and is serving his first full term as a councilman in Andover Borough.  He is also an Andover Boro firefighter and emergency management coordinator. He has attended SCCC and has been a member of the Lakeland Emergency Squad for almost 30 years.  Scott is married to Tammy Sweller and they have three children. Senior Airman Aaron Danielson (21) is a firefighter/rescue specialist with the USAF at Nellis AFB.  He has served one tour in Iraq. He is engaged to Julie. Amanda (15) is a freshman at Newton HS where she received her varsity letter in bowling as a freshman. Alycia (13) is in seventh grade in the Long Pond School. She has been dancing for nine years and has won many awards.

Kevin and Cindy (Knauer - LVR ‘89, Centenary ‘93) live in Hackettstown with Kyle (10) and Ryan (4). Kyle was named “Student of the Month” for March at the Hackettstown’s Middle School.
